Sulzer was founded in 1834 by the Swiss Sulzer brothers but their most widely known employee was Rudolf Diesel, the inventor of the diesel engine. The company is still active in a wide range of working areas, but the diesel engine division has been sold many years ago and finally merged in 1997 into the Wärtsilä NSD organisation.
The production of diesel engines with the renowned name of Sulzer on it has stopped, but they are still being used and as long as that is the fact we will deliver the spare parts to keep them running.
